Summer Reading program is on it's way to becoming a reality for all of us here in town. We are currently looking for any individuals who would like to help out with activities (you can choose something special to do or help with an already planned event). The theme for the kids is Be Creative @ Your Library and the teen program is Express Yourself @ Your Library. These themes really leave a lot of room for ideas and implementing some fun activities for the kids, so bring your talents to the library and teach something new to our town's youth.

I am also looking for individuals to help with a sewing/wall project for the teen room, if you think you might be able to help please let me know.

We said good-bye to Jerry a few weeks back and I don't know if anyone else feels the loss but I certainly am, he was always helpful and had a smile ready. So far they are having some troubles finding work in Colorado but we wish them all the best on their road to independence.

Changes are coming to YOUR library!

Currently, we are working on the teen room that will be in a back room of the library. The teen room, when finished, will have computers for teen use only and a TV to watch movies on. We are considering getting a Wii, as well, but that will likely be further down the road. If you look to the back of the library you can see our new window. It gives a nice homey feel to the library while opening up the back area.

I can hardly believe that I am already starting the planning for the summer reading program. I hope everyone else is getting revved up, as this year should prove to be a fun program.

Jerry, our trusted volunteer, will be leaving us soon to move back to Colorado. I'm sure that he will be popping in now and again, however. Everyone should give Jerry a fond farewell and wish him luck in his upcoming adventures. You will be missed Jerry!
